This series of ceramic objects emerged as a continuation of my work as Beati, developed in part during a residency at the Kokto art space in Athens – this time in dialogue with the element of water.
The figurines, created instinctively , without prior sketches or planning, take on hybrid forms: blending trinket-like elements with organic shapes reminiscent of sea creatures, algae, or fragments of bodies.
Water is not treated as a literal theme, but rather as a point of reference – a metaphor for fluidity, immersion, and the surrender of control.
The creative process becomes a form of somatic processing, and the resulting works act as records of what is fleeting and not fully defined.
The sculptures continue Beati’s ongoing eco-feminist reflection, but take on a new shape – less narrative, more sensual and material.
